Jay's Moving and Storage Solves Lunch Challenge for Saskatoon Seniors
Jay's Moving and Storage hosted a BBQ for residents of a Saskatoon Seniors Residence while replacing all the stoves in their complex.
Online, May 18, 2012 (Newswire.com) - When you have to replace an entire senior's complex of stoves, how do you do it all in a day and still make sure the residents don't miss their regular mealtime? It's simple; you host a free outdoor BBQ! On May 9, 2012, Jay's Moving and Storage was asked to replace the stoves in 109 residences at King Edward Retirement Village in Saskatoon.
Jay's was more than happy to take care of these seniors as any of these people could have just as easily been one of our family members. "It just made sense to us," says Terry Pylatuk, one of Jay's Branch Managers, "that if we were taking out their cooking source, we'd find a way they could still eat a hot lunch. And since we already have a large travelling BBQ we bring out to a number of communities each summer, we hosted a lunch for the residents on their property."
Conrad Rowley, one of the Retirement Village residents, expressed his sincere thanks and said the tasty BBQ was "a very wonderful thing [we] had done for them." All the work got done in one day and the seniors are now enjoying cooking up their own creations on their brand new stoves.
This event was just one example of the 'out of the box' thinking that the hardworking members of the Jay's team produce regularly. If you would like to do business with a family owned and operated business that puts a personal touch into all that we do, call on Jay's Moving and Storage.
Jay's Moving and Storage is always willing to go the extra mile for their clients during whatever job we are performing. Hosting this Seniors BBQ in Saskatoon was not only a thoughtful solution to accommodate the residents of the facility; it was also a lot of fun for us!
