JELD-WEN Exclusive Window Partner To Talasa Development

Sustainable And Environmentally Friendly Project Largest In The BC Region

JELD-WEN Windows and Doors has signed on as the exclusive window supplier to the Talasa residential development being built at the Sun Rivers Golf Resort. Located five minutes from downtown Kamloops, BC, in Canada's first geothermal resort community, Talasa will include eight buildings with over 450 residences.

In addition to the living area, the development will also feature a 25,000 square foot Village Centre with retail space, office space and an active living residence. Mibroc Group, a leading residential and commercial builder who creates environmentally responsible living environments across British Columbia, is developing the project.

"JELD-WEN has been the window supplier from day one and has been an incredible partner," says Bryan Yorke, Mibroc Director of Marketing and Communications. "Talasa is surrounded by incredible vistas and we wanted to use an incredible window to complement the view."

With two buildings already occupied, the community is slated to move on to the Village Centre phase after Paloma, its third building, is completed later this year. The JELD-WEN products used in all the properties include Premium Desert Sand vinyl slider, picture and casement windows.

"This partnership is more than being a window supplier," says Sante Cigana, JELD-WEN Canada Vice President. "It's about aligning ourselves with a developer that sees the benefit of creating green properties using sustainable materials and construction practices."
