Jerboa Jewellery And DOM of AiR Collaborate On Charity Catwalk Show
Online, November 10, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Jerboa Jewellery and DOM of AiR are pleased to announce their participation at the Fashion Frenzy show on Monday, November 14th 2011, at 6.30pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in London's Docklands. This prestigious event will see the unique collaboration of these two exceptional design houses coming together to raise money for BBC Children In Need.
Debuting during London Fashion Week 2011, Jerboa is the creative brainchild of self-taught designer, Victoria Barker. Jerboa specialises in beautiful statement jewellery, expertly crafted from thousands of individual glass beads, and incorporating crystal and Swarovski elements. Heavily influenced by couture fashion and catwalk drama, the Jerboa look is glamorous and vibrant, with each design forming part of a hand-made, limited edition collection. Red carpet-worthy Jerboa bridges the gap between art and jewellery. The ultimate in personal adornment, each expertly-crafted piece is designed to instantly transform any woman into a fashion goddess. Jerboa is maximalist. Jerboa is opulent. Jerboa is exciting. Jerboa is not for the fashion faint-hearted!
DOM OF AiR is Anita Emmett and Renata Suchanova - both graduates from The Istituto Marangoni. Spending two years on independent projects, internships, and retail experience at Romina Karamanea, Trisori, Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga, Anita and Renata went on to form DOM OF AiR, THE ready-to-wear label for today's confident, cosmopolitan, non-conformist woman. Debuting at this year's London Fashion Week, DOM OF AiR's first collection, Tribal Extraction, encompasses totemic tribes, primitivism, minimalism of contemporary architecture, and the geometry of lines found in the art of Kandinsky and Miro.
Jerboa brings together the opulence of the Orient, and elaborate Baroque and Art Deco, in concert with DOM OF AiR's specially-commissioned fabrics, married with sensuous silk and leather... see this visual feast rocking the catwalk at 8.45pm, making November 14th a night to remember.
