Jet Airways Group, Enhances Its Leadership Position With A Market Share,Of 27%
Jet Airways, India's premier international airline, and JetLite, its subsidiary, have registered the highest ever on time performance even as it garnered a 27 per cent market share further consolidating on its leadership position in the August month
Online, September 17, 2010 (Newswire.com) - The Jet Airways group continued to post growth in passenger traffic for August 2010. The airline registered an impressive 21.8% increase in international operations as compared to the same period last year, carrying 3.76 lakh revenue passengers in August 2010. The revenue passengers for Jet Airways' domestic operations also stood at an imposing 14.9%, a marked improvement over the same period last year. Jet Airways has posted 10 months of consistent growth, reflecting the impact of major strategic codeshares and launch of Jet Airways Konnect services.
Fuelled by improved customer service quality and better on time reliability, JetLite, the wholly owned subsidiary of Jet Airways India Ltd, also posted a seat factor of 6.1% carrying over 3 lakh passengers in themonth of August 2010.
The airline's domestic operations registered a seat factor of 70.4% in August 2010, as against a seat factor of 70% in August 2009, carrying over 7.79 lakh passengers.
