Online, December 4, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Jet Rescue Air Ambulance is proud to announce the opening of a new base in Saltillo, Mexico. Saltillo is located just outside of Monterrey, Mexico´s third largest city and one of Mexico`s most important manufacturing centers.
Monterrey is of strategic importance as it is connected with the US border, the sea and inland Mexico through different roads, including the Carretera Nacional that runs from Nuevo Laredo to Mexico City, and the Carretera Interoceanica connecting Matamoros with the port of Mazatlan on the Pacific. From the Saltillo base Jet Rescue Air Ambulance will cover North East Mexico and Texas
The Jet Rescue Air Ambulance base in Saltillo is equipped with a Learjet 25 which has been fully configured as an ICU. From this base Jet Rescue Air Ambulance will cover North East Mexico and Texas.
The base will be operational on the 8th of December 2009 and an extensive training program was set up for the newly recruited Saltillo crewmembers. Flight orientation, flight medicine and aviation safety were the most important themes during the training.
As the success and efficiency of Jet Rescue Air Ambulance depends on its most important asset, its people, each crewmember will participate in continuing education programs as well as ongoing evaluation by its Medical Director, Chief Pilot and Senior Executives.
