Joe Torres Leads Orlando Credit Union's Partnership With Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka to Provide Free Financial Education

ORLANDO, Fla., October 16, 2024 (Newswire.com) - Orlando Credit Union (OCU), under the leadership of OCU Mortgage Lending Manager Joe Torres, is proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka to offer free financial education courses through Habitat’s Financial Academy program. This collaboration aims to empower Central Florida residents with essential financial knowledge, as part of Orlando Credit Union’s ongoing commitment to community enrichment.

The Habitat Financial Academy is a six-week financial education course designed to empower and guide participants on best practices for financial management. The program, open to the public, runs every Tuesday from October 1 through November 4, 2024. Each session covers a crucial aspect of financial literacy, such as budgeting, savings planning, understanding credit, debt management, homebuying basics, and identity and cyber security protection.
