John Robert Powers Zests Up 2012 With The I Heart Fame Showcase

Online, February 21, 2012 (Newswire.com) - MAKATI CITY-John Robert Powers spiced up the start of the year as the premiere training center in the country staged the "I Heart Fame" Showcase on January 4 at the Carlos P Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati City. The talent showcase is a bi-annual event which serves as the culminating activity for the students who have taken the various personality development programs at John Robert Powers.

This year's showcase, inspired by the Broadway hit "A Chorus Line", featured 45 students who took the center stage in acting, dancing, modeling, and hosting. Bright spirits and confidence filled the auditorium as they showed off their talents in a 3-hour song and dance performance with monologues and fashion show. All the performers underwent a month of rigorous training and rehearsals under JRP's leading talent instructors: Onyl Torres and Kevin Dugan (Creative & Acting), Kevin Dugan (Acting), Raymund Recto and Ning Corteza (Runway /Modeling), Dingdong Eduque and Camille Silayan (Singing), while Ryan Ordiales of the group Xtreme and Christina dela Torre of Myx Dance choreographed and trained the students for the dance segments.

With the success of the event, the student performers at the January showcase had been another testimony of John Robert Powers' commitment to unleash the best in every individual. In all 15 showcases staged by JRP since 2005, students not only hone their talents but also learn to value and their selves. The showcase was led by Executive Producer Marivic Padilla and Producer Ricky Santos, and ably supported by the production staff headed by Production Manager Gabby Reinoso, Production Coordinator Yvette Mañale, and Student Coordinators/Production Assistants Gellie dela Torre, Lesllie Leachon, Kathlyn Capito, Lauren Nicolas, Camille Salvacion, Andrea Avila, Ivy Domopoy, and Production Assistant Joshuel Rivas.
