Join Two Men and a Truck August 13th-15th for the Susan G. Koman 3-Day for the Cure
1 in 8 women suffer from this type of cancer - a startling statistic for this life-altering disease. Join Two Men and a Truck Kane/DuPage, Illinois in the Susan G. Koman 3-Day for the Cure on August 13th-15th. Proceeds help breast cancer research.
Online, March 24, 2010 (Newswire.com) - In February of this year my sister, Kathy, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Until that moment I never really thought that my life would be touched by this horrible disease. Kathy has chosen to fight her disease positively and aggressively. Her courage is a true inspiration to me. One of those ways she is fighting back is to do the 3-Day walk for the Cure. My wife, Wendy, has chosen to show her support for Kathy by walking with her. I have decided to show my support by helping them raise money to fight this horrible disease.
On August 13th, 14th, 15th, thousands of women and men will unite and walk 60 miles through our community. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure is a weekend of hope, as we honor lives lost, celebrate survivors, promote breast cancer research and help bring breast cancer care to those who so desperately need it.
Wendy has committed herself to walk and has agreed to raise a minimum of $10,000 to help fight breast cancer. Net proceeds from the Komen 3-Day for the Cure are invested in breast cancer research and community programs. It is a donation that will make a difference. The event not only attracts thousands of walkers, crew members and volunteers, but thousands of spectators as well.
Unfortunately, breast cancer has become an all too common occurrence among women and men throughout the world. Now is the time to take action to help end this disease. The more funds that we raise, the sooner we can end this fight. More information about the 3-Day for the Cure can be found at The3Day.org or by calling 800-996-3DAY.
By supporting Wendy in the Komen 3-Day for the Cure, you will ultimately help the world put an end to breast cancer. Thank you for your support and consideration.
Sincerely,
Alex Petrusha
