June 10 brings two experienced voices to the Internet through the launch of NashTN1.com, an effort to raise awareness and unite Nashville through public communication, information sharing, and smart, friendly marketing.

NashTN1.com is a Web site that offers unbiased information equally to all races, religions, businesses, backgrounds, and lifestyles. Working to help the community effectively market products and services, the site has a directory that will list everything from restaurants, dentists, and doctors, to hair stylists, automobile repair services, and churches. But, that's only part of the deal. Any business, individual, organization, club, or civic group can list a Nashville event on the site free of charge. Citizens may also be a guest on one of the two radio shows (We Are One in Spirit Podcast and Quick Fire Radio Show) that will stream from the site beginning June 10. Those who wish may host their own radio show or podcast through the network.

The old hyped-up way of promoting a product or service, with that "in-your-face" approach, has gone the way of the wind since online social marketing came into play. It's a known fact that people are more likely to do business with merchants they know or have been referred by a friend. Sites such as Twitter and Facebook allow people to interact and get to know one another before deciding to do business together. In a time when good customer service and quality products seem to be an option rather than an expectation, trust-building efforts are a big component to success. Oscar Smith's Quick Fire radio show will give listeners a chance to get to know local business owners as they showcase their products and services. Guests will also include minority civil leaders, medical experts, members of the fire department and police departments, Neighborhood Watch, FEMA reps, legal professionals, pastors, and those involved in charity or volunteer work.

"Compared to the well-promoted Green Hills, Brentwood, and Franklin, not much has been done to improve communication or business relations on the East side of town including Donelson, Hermitage, and Mt. Juliet," says Oscar Smith. "While we are open to helping anyone in the Nashville area, NashTN1.com will focus on helping promote opportunities in these lesser-served areas."

The Black man and White woman met by synchronicity at the Donelson Post Office in the fall of 2009 after Smith noticed the Writers in the Sky Creative Writing Services sign on Perry's car. Oscar immediately knew he wanted to work with Perry on a book he was writing about fire safety. Oscar knows that he is an "idea" man who has great vision. However, without the writing skills needed to effectively communicate them his concepts tend to lose forward motion. Perry's expertise as a freelance writer, editor, and book marketer is a perfect match to help launch a project that would promote their common goals.

Perry was once an intercessor for the City of Muncie from 1995 to 1997. While there, she used her connections at a Christian bookstore where she worked to organize inter-denominational events that brought together almost every church in the city. Since her time in Indiana, she has changed her philosophy and embraced a more tolerant and non-religious mindset to aid her in bringing heaven to earth through spiritual marketing. Her new We Are One in Spirit Podcast will interview guests who have an unbiased unifying message to offer those interested in such topics as the Universal Law of Attraction, energy modalities, metaphysics, death, afterlife, Goddess and earth-based worship, Paganism, Christianity, and other belief systems.

Smith's work as a chaplain began about 10 years ago when he became a licensed and ordained minister. Carrying the heart of his ministry to the doorstep of crisis, he became CISM-Critical Incidence Stress Management Certified Chaplain as well as Chaplain Emeritous for Unity Center For Positive Living (UCPL). Recognizing a need for a positive, non-politically-driven voice, Oscar will open the airwaves as the host for Quick Fire, a radio show that gives community leaders and laypeople an opportunity to share their expertise, products, and services in an informal interview that will be available and archived online.

Oscar says that NashTn1.com is a work in progress. The vision includes plans to expand the radio shows to around-the-clock broadcasting. The inaugural show for Quick Fire and We are One in Spirit will broadcast live June 10, 2010 from the Comfort Inn Suites Airport located at 3431 Percy Priest Drive Nashville, TN 37214; phone: (615) 391-5959. The shows will be accessible 24/7 on NashTN1.com Web site and on iTunes where these interviews may be downloaded to Internet radio players, iPhones, Blackberries, iPods, and vehicles equipped with satellite radio.
