Joseph Gallagher Helps Raise Over $29,000 For Lakeside Behavioral Healthcare

Online, June 11, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Heathrow, FL "Ali's Hope" is proud to announce that it's founders helped to raise over $29,000 during the annual "Links for Lakeside" Golf Classic in May. The tournament, which was held at the Heathrow Country Club, included 111 golfers and increased its net proceeds by 20 percent over last year.

The proceeds from the tournament will be used to fund Ali's Hope- Outreach for Success, named in memory of Alyson Gallagher. Alyson is the daughter of Lakeside Behavioral Healthcare board member and Gallagher Group USA owner, Joseph Gallagher. Alyson suffered from a brain disorder known as schizoaffective disorder and took her own life in 2007.

Ali's Hope helps other young adults who are also afflicted with brain disorders commonly known as mental illness. The purpose of the funding is to provide outpatient services to these individuals upon discharge from a hospital setting. Many patients cannot afford these services and they are not covered by government sources or insurance carriers. Joe Gallagher stated "We hope that by making a proactive approach with clients that we can help improve their quality of life! It is the hope of both me and my wife, Helen that not only will the quality of life be raised with this effort, but that a life might also be saved."
