Joy Organics Celebrates One-Year Anniversary

What started as a small family business has become an international brand

JOY ORGANICS, the world’s premier broad spectrum CBD source, will celebrate its first birthday after a year of enormous success. What started as a small family CBD shop in Fort Collins, Colorado, with the simple intent to improve lives has become an industry-leading brand in less than 12 months.

In July of 2018 in Old Town, Fort Collins, the first Joy Organics CBD shop opened its doors to the public. “I could tell something was different about this business the moment I first walked in,” recalls Natalie Dunston, Joy Organics’ first CBD educator. “I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of in any way I could, so much that I initially volunteered to be an unpaid intern.”

Thanks to incredible local support and a few dedicated employees, Joy Organics saw almost instant success. The company launched its online store just a couple of weeks later, sparking national interest.

“From when the first orders were rolling in, my favorite part of working with Joy Organics was the testimonials we got to hear about how our products were improving lives. I love being a part of something that really matters,” shares Carolyn McGuinness, Joy Organics’ customer satisfaction manager, who joined the team shortly after its founding.

Joy Organics now has four storefronts and its products are sold in over 1,000 small businesses nationwide. With over 100,000 monthly visitors, the Joy Organics website has become one of the most visited CBD websites globally and is on its way to becoming a household name.

In the midst of consistent and exponential growth, this family-founded business has stayed true to its values of improving lives and giving back.

“One of this year’s highlights for me was Feb. 15, when we turned my birthday into Joy Day,” reflected Joy Smith, the company’s CEO, namesake and co-founder. “We offered our greatest discount while raising enough money to provide over 200,000 meals to South Sudanese refugees.”

The Colorado-based brand plans to do something similar on its first anniversary, but this time it will be focused more locally on The Matthews House, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth and families to navigate life’s difficulties and move toward self-sustainability in Fort Collins. On July 23, a portion of all CBD sales will go toward this cause.

Moving forward from its first anniversary, Joy Organics plans on broadening its product line and impacting even more lives. The company’s mission to help at least one million people live their best lives in 2019 will continue to be a foundation for all that they do.
