JPL Wins Five Awards for Web Design

The W3 Awards, a major international web awards competition, gave JPL top honors for design work on several websites. The W³ Awards are sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts and sponsored by Advertising Age.

JPL was honored with a Best of Show Award for LearntobeHealthy.org's Teen site and a Gold Award for Hershey's Twizzlers site. The company also received three Silver awards for the Harrisburg Area Community College Admissions microsite, LearntobeHealthy.org homepage, and the Morgan Corporation website.

LearntobeHealthy.org is a health education website created for the Susan P. Byrnes Health Education Center in York, PA. The winning website, LearntobeHealthy.org/teens, presents information regarding nutrition, fitness and mental health in a fun and engaging way by incorporating custom video, interactive lessons and a personalized journal and health log. The site complements four other LearntobeHealthy.org websites designed by JPL: for Kids, Educators, Community & Families, in addition to an online store. The websites offer free educational games, activities, and lesson plans for teachers, students, and parents.

The fun and interactive Twizzlers brand site helps build brand loyalty and increase usage with Twizzlers' fans. Targeted towards mothers, the site encourages viewers to play and explore new information about the brand. Twizzlers.com includes "Twisted History" and "10 Things to Do with a Twizzler" and promoted the launch of the new Sweet & Sour Filled Twists.

In 2009, JPL was also recognized as Website Design Company of the Year by the Central Penn Business Journal and as Technology Company of the Year by TECHQuest PA.
