Business and technology law firm, Scott & Scott, LLP, announces that partner Julie Machal-Fulks has joined the Board of the non-profit Reading & Radio Resource (R&RR). R&RR is a forty year old nonprofit volunteer organization that has been changing the lives of children and adults through recorded books and radio.

Julie said: "I am so excited to become a part of this extraordinary organization and to support its mission of providing alternatives to reading for those who are visually or physically disabled and/or learning differenced. As an attorney for whom the written word is so important, sharing the beauty of writing with those who cannot read is a privilege."

More than 300 volunteers give 14-16,000 hours annually to meet the needs of listeners. Since 1969, R&RR has provided services under one of two programs:

Recorded books program.
R&RR distributes about 20,000 tapes a year and has more than 3900 titles.

Radio reading service - N.T.R.B. "North Texas Radio for the Blind" with 24 hours of continuous programming.

Julie adds: "R&RR's recognition as a role model for fiscal and administrative stability, program excellence, donor stewardship, volunteer management and customer service attracted me to commit my time to the Board."

Ms. Fulks invites those who would like to volunteer and/or donate to visit Reading & Radio Resource .
