Just The Odd Miracle - Retiring To The Philippines

Everybody needs just the odd miracle in their lives and there was a time not so long ago that I really needed one, and I got it. Retiring to the Philippines turned out to be the best move of my life.

Everybody needs just the odd miracle in their lives and there was a time not so long ago that I really needed one, and I got it. I had to work for it but I did get it. Now I am able to make sure that a similar miracle is available for other people who may find themselves in the same need.

Like about five million others in our modern western culture I was well past sixty when I suddenly and unexpectedly found myself on my own. My family had dissolved and gone while I was busy in a local community meeting. I returned to find that my partner had found a younger man and had left me the traditional goodbye letter, taking our three children with her.

I had always had a fear of getting old and dying on my own uncared for and unmissed. Well things looked to me at that time as though my worst fears were to be realized. I could see no chance at already past retirement age of starting all over again but that's exactly what I did, and I arranged for myself a better life than the one I had before.

I discovered that in one place in the world to be of mature age is an advantage, and that once I discovered the Philippines Islands where I now live, I had found not only the best place to live with constant summer, but the young ladies here would choose a western man for a husband regardless of age. My new wife is adorable and my home, very similar to an English bungalow on a protected estate, though it is cheap and easy to maintain and the cost of living is very low.

Let me summarize some of the advantages of living here. Okay! Probably the most beautiful girls in the world and for the most part with figures to die for, find aging western men very attractive here. They are very loveable and make the most loving wives you will find anywhere. Food, beer, cigarettes, petrol and diesel are at prices you wouldn't believe. Oh Boy! What a sucker I was living in England paying £1.20 for a liter of petrol when I can buy it here for 37 pesos about 42p and my cigarettes are only 12 pesos a packet of twenty. That in English money is around 15p. Just about everything you want here you can get cheaper than in England, and that includes property that with rising prices has a very good investment potential. Putting it all together if you have a western pension to live on then you can live in the sunshine here and in style. In fact you can even afford a live in maid if you need one.

I have just finished a book on the whole scene here in which I recommend places you can live in that are peaceful and trouble free. I not only provide all the information you would need to move here but tell you how you can meet a local girl before you come. I have a website that goes with the book and have provided a forum so you can discuss with other readers all the issues regarding moving here. There is help available on health and if you need more then I am on the forum as well to help you with any related problems. It's a great place for a holiday and you can stay here visa free for up to three weeks so you can come and have look first and make up your own mind.

Now I can go to my local shop and not have to run the gauntlet of the local yobs on the way. We don't have that social problem here. All the people are friendly and the second language is English so if you need any help they will be pleased to chat to you.

I got my miracle but had to find out everything for myself so that is why I have now set things up so that if you like the idea, you can get yours. I only wish I had found the Philippines years ago, but at least I am here now and having a great time. Every day is warm and sunny and even the sea is warm. If you think you could be interested in joining me here on my paradise island and especially if your present life sucks then have a look at my site at Retire To The Philippines

Soon you could be laying on a warm beach under the coconut palms with a fishing line tied to your big toe.
