Justice Is Mind Announces Los Angeles Premiere

Justice Is Mind will have its west coast premiere at the famed Laemmle Music Hall in Beverly Hills, CA on November 7. Psychological courtroom thriller will be presented as both a P&I and public screening.

Mark Lund executive producer, director and writer, is pleased to announce the west coast premiere of the widely anticipated psychological courtroom thriller Justice Is Mind at the famed Laemmle Music Hall in Beverly Hills, CA on November 7, 2013. Independently produced and inspired by a 2009 60 Minutes segment that addressed mind-reading technology, Justice Is Mind is set in a near future where a new type of MRI process called FVMRI (functional video magnetic resonance imaging) can read your memory in video form.

After several successful screenings in the Northeast to enthusiast audiences, Justice Is Mind's next stop on its theatrical tour will be the west coast. The screening is sponsored by director Mark Lund's longtime entertainment attorney Arnold Peter of the Peter Law Group and in cooperation with The Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel. "The opportunity to present Justice Is Mind to both the media and the public in the heart of the entertainment capital of the world is tremendously exciting," said Lund. "With President Obama supporting brain research with a $100 million initiative, recent Supreme Court cases regarding landmark DNA and privacy issues along with an article in The Atlantic magazine titled 'Could the Government Get a Search Warrant for Your Thoughts' Justice Is Mind is a well-timed feature film."

Justice Is Mind follows businessman and restaurant owner Henri Miller who has been afflicted with unexplained headaches since childhood. When he has the new FVMRI procedure and it reveals that he has allegedly shot and killed two people, the trial of the century begins in which Miller is faced with his own memory at trial. But all is not as it seems as a dark family secret, held by Henri's minister father Joseph, reveals itself in the courtroom.

Sponsored by Arnold Peter of the Peter Law Group, who was also a legal consultant and one of the producers of the film, Peter was intrigued by the opportunity to work on a cutting edge film that combines his two interests - entertainment and the law. "It is always a thrill to work with my friend and long-term client Mark Lund and an absolute pleasure to bring together my two great passions; law and filmed entertainment," stated Peter.

At release time, Vernon Aldershoff who stars as Henri Miller and Michele Mortensen who co-stars as his on screen mother Maria Miller, will accompany Lund to the west coast premiere.

The screening will start with red carpet arrivals at 6:30 PM followed by introductions by Lund and Peter at 7:15 PM, a screening start time at 7:30 PM follwed by a Q&A by Lund, Peter, Aldershoff and Mortensen.

Justice Is Mind stars Vernon Aldershoff (Henri Miller), Robin Ann Rapoport (Margaret Miller), Paul Lussier (John Darrow) and Kim Gordon (Constance Smith). Co-starring Richard Sewell (Joseph Miller), Michele Mortensen (Maria Miller), Carlyne Fournier (Dr. Eve Pullman), Dmitri Aldershoff (Gary Miller), Chara Gannett (Nancy Miller), Mary Wexler (Judge Wagner), Jesse Mangan (Brian Kovski) and Steven Scott (Police Detective).
