Karah Britton Performed Stand-Up Comedy Routine At Flappers in Burbank
Online, July 29, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Karah Britton, a rising comedic actress in Los Angeles, took to the stage in Burbank this past Friday night in front of a very enthusiastic audience at Flappers Comedy Club. It was the sixth time this year for the funny lady to do a stand-up routine, which may not be a whole lot but to those in the audience, she comes across as a long time veteran.
While Britton is just beginning to hit her stride doing stand-up, she is not new to comedy. She prefers funny roles over dramatic ones in her acting choices and she also has long performed improv and recently became a member of the Los Angeles improv comedy troupe Scared Scriptless L.A., which is in fact planning a new show for August.
Britton is not looking to replace her television and film career for one doing stand-up comedy, but she is one of those people who just loves a challenge and enjoys making people laugh so stand-up and improv comedy are just natural draws for her talents.
"I have always been a fan of the great comedic actress, from Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett, to Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Julia Louise Dreyfus and Kristin Wig," Britton said. "And all of them were great with stand-up and improv so to me it is just good training and experience, on top of being a blast."
