Kardashian Baby Blues, Is Khloe Suffering From PCOS?

Author and PCOS Expert Dr. Rebecca Harwin gives away Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) fertility book, called, 'How to have babies, even with PCOS' to women like Khloe who struggle to have babies due to a lack of ovulation.

Khloe Kardashian on a clip on 'Keeping Up With The Kardashian's' said recently that her infertility came down to the fact that "I don't ovulate". Khloe found it hard to hide her unhappiness in the short video, as she sat near sister and new mom, Kourtney, while Kim broke her confidence to reveal her fertility clinic plans. Khloe wondered why it had to be her that was having trouble having babies.

Khloe is not alone. 90 - 95% of women who attend fertility clinics with infertility due to lack of ovulation suffer from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, many wondering 'why me'. "This revelation", says Dr. Harwin, "leads me to wonder whether Khloe may be suffering from this common syndrome as well." When women with PCOS do manage to conceive, they are at an increased risk of miscarriage, and pregnancy complications such as gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia. And rates of PCOS appear to be increasing.

"Now," says PCOS expert Dr. Rebecca Harwin, "women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome must do what they can to protect themselves with the right information to have a successful and safe pregnancy and birth, rather than just leaving it to chance or invasive techniques that only aid conception and not live births."

"Whether they are struggling to ovulate, regain a regular cycle, to become pregnant, or to safely carry a pregnancy through to birth, this book will help make their life easier and becoming a mom more likely," says Dr. Harwin. "There are strategies that can be used to ease each of these problems, also bringing renewed health, some having an impact almost immediately. In fact, some take just a little effort for great reward. Having a blueprint to follow can be incredibly empowering for women suffering form PCOS, but understanding why they are suffering can be life changing."

The strategies in Dr. Harwin's book, 'How To Have Babies, Even With PCOS' includes topics from what PCOS is, to restoring hormonal balance, why women with PCOS are at an increased risk of miscarriage, and what they can do about it, how reduce the risk of pregnancy complications, and more. And most importantly, answering the question, "Why is PCOS stopping me from having babies, and what can I do to change this."

Albeit a controversial topic and written in a down to earth way, Dr. Rebecca's message is clear. "The best person to help a woman with PCOS to ovulate and to have babies, is the woman herself. She must make the changes needed to restore ovulation, improve her chances of conception and reduce her risk of miscarriage and pregnancy complications. "

"The key to success in having healthy babies," says Dr. Harwin" is to encourage your body to be a baby creating friendly environment by incorporating nutrition, stress reduction, and of course a healthy lifestyle."

Harwin made the decision to give away digital versions of her complete book free after witnessing PCOS sufferers facing the devastation that comes from not being able to become moms. "It broke my heart," says Dr. Harwin, "women with this syndrome are still suffering in America. It's putting people's lives, relationships and health in jeopardy."

"We're ecstatic with the response and excited to see women with PCOS putting the practical information to good use in growing their families," Harwin says.
