Kathy Toth Co-Chairs Breast Cancer Charity Events

Dexter, MI, October 6, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Kathy Toth is best known as a prominent Ann Arbor Realtor, but she is also a breast cancer survivor who has endured the trials of the disease and the rigors of its treatment. For this reason, Toth takes the fight against breast cancer personally.

“I volunteer because I want to make a difference,” says Toth. “I want women to know that they’re not alone when facing this fight. They’re not alone if they’ve lost a loved one to cancer. These charity events allow us to show love and support to breast cancer patients and survivors. They give us a way to honor the memory of those we’ve lost to the disease. These events also provide funding for breast cancer research, and raise awareness of the need for early detection.”

The charity auction will be held Tuesday, October 14 at Suburban Chevrolet-Cadillac at 3515 Jackson Road, Ann Arbor, MI. The auction runs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. All proceeds from the event benefit the “Making Strides” campaign and the American Cancer Society.

The “Making Strides” 5k walk will be held Saturday, October 18 at Washtenaw County Community College, at 4800 E. Huron River Drive, Ann Arbor, MI. Registration is at 8:00 a.m. and the non-competitive walk begins at 9:00 a.m. A special celebration tent will be on site to recognize breast cancer survivors.
