The architects have cleverly designed each room with optimum space management exploiting the natural elements of ventilation and lighting. Geometry is widely used to craft a mesmerizing interior and exterior perspective. This resulted in a beautiful and architecturally distinct dwelling that permits natural ventilation, flexible interiors, generous daylight, and an effective envelope - all with materials and methods of the current time. Prominent walls within the house were crafted in conventional cement blocks. The house design is planned giving much importance to landscape which is the central part of the house. The garden areas have been divided into smaller and easily manageable units rather than 1 large space (as multiple landscape spaces will be visible). This allows easy maintenance as well as gives the appearance of a bigger house . One can view the tastefully decorated landscape from any given view point within the house. This allows ample of light and ventilation throughout the residence where all the neighboring buildings are closely packed. It also adds an ‘oomph’ to the house exteriors.

Who wouldn’t admire homes with prepossessing, floor-to-ceiling windows?  The triplex features large glass expanses to support mild green concept. Primarily, these windows helps to enhance light entering the building. They are predominantly placed on the northern side to cut down on heat accumulation. Energy saving LED lights have been used. Most lights are in the 3w-6w category resulting in very little power consumption. The terrace and side walls have been treated with SRI paints (solar refractive index) which reflects part of the heat back to the atmosphere resulting in the inside temperature being 1-2 degrees cooler than a conventional building.

The glass panels separate the outdoor from indoors without actually creating a barrier between the two. Minimal amount of frame in these glass panels keep the house clean and simple. This helps retain the focus on the interior space and the materials used to create it. Ashwin architects have simplified the window design in the living room, adopting a "Minimalist" approach. Instead of using the traditionally solid, opaque man made device known as a "wall" to mount the TV; glass panels were employed that removed the barrier between interior and exterior. The wood beams not only seal in the space, but create a feeling of understated grandeur. It's not pompous, but it is impressive. Stairs are used to connect the three floors. The stairway provides a peek to the view beyond via a vertical slot window plus a view of the beautiful aquarium.

Blues, Purples, and Grey’s create points of interest throughout, balanced in such a way that no singular object stands out too much above the rest.
