Kazakhstan Intensifies the Control Over Foreign Carriers
Online, July 20, 2012 (Newswire.com) - The monitoring was started by the Chairman of the Transport Control Committee at the working session on 15th June 2012.KAZATO recommended all members of association to take an active part in monitoring.
For the transport companies employees, who participate in the monitoring, KAZATO designed a special instruction and a form for reporting about revealed violations. According to the KAZATO decision, the places of monitoring and its schedule are coordinated by the heads of appropriate authorities in the Interregional inspection of transport control.
The aforesaid information was also covered by TELS, an international freight forwarding company that constantly releases logistics news from all over the world. Moreover, the experts of TELS comment on many of them. Cargo transportation to/from Scandinavia to the Russian Federation has been developing successfully over the last three years. Finland, which freight turnover with Russia is several times bigger than that with Sweden and Norway, is a main trading partner for Russia in Scandinavia and North Europe.
Recently the TELS experts commented on Russian intensification of control over foreign carriers: "It is obvious that the Russian Federation still insists on enhancing an administrative resource in the competition with foreign carriers. First of all, the restrictive measures are aimed at the Polish carriers who offer considerably lower prices coupled with the high quality of their services".
TELS experts consider that such measures are applied in order to let Russian forwarders compete with foreign ones, since the Russian freight forwarding market is far from being perfect and competitive. Decreasing foreign forwarders' shares on the Russian market is deemed to be the most efficient way for surviving in this severe competition.
