KBE Building Corporation Constructing and Renovating Four Retail Projects in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia

KBE Building Corporation (KBE) will be constructing and renovating four retail projects in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia.

KBE Building Corporation (KBE) (www.kbebuilding.com) will be constructing and renovating four retail projects in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia, including a CarMax store in King of Prussia, PA, a Severna Park, MD Giant Foods store, St. Mary's Place retail center in Beltsville, MD, and two stores in the Fair City Mall in Fairfax, VA.

The $6.6 million, 24,718 square foot CarMax project consists of new construction for three separate buildings: an auto sales center, a service building, and a car wash facility. Located on a nine-acre lot, the project is slated for completion in December 2013. This will be the third CarMax facility KBE has built.

The $844,000 project for Giant Foods in Severna Park consists of new decor and painting, upgraded lighting, and relocations of refrigerator cases in the total sales area. The 44,000 square foot store had been remodeled five years ago, but these upgrades are being made to be consistent with the standardized decor package. The project is slated for completion in August 2013. KBE has constructed numerous other Giant Foods and Stop & Shop supermarkets throughout the Northeast and MidAtlantic.

The $1.5 million, 7,980 square foot St. Mary's Place development is a one-story shell construction for several restaurants and retail stores. The project also features traffic signalization, landscaping, and construction of a retaining wall. The project is slated for completion in December 2013.

The $1.5 million, 14,000 square foot Fair City Mall project consists of renovations for two stores: Hallmark Gold Crown and Five Below. The renovations will occur while the shopping center remains open, and will feature new façades, as well as new floors, lights, walls, ceilings, sprinkler system, HVAC system, and bathrooms. The projects will be completed in August 2013.

KBE's previous work at the Fair City Mall includes tenant fit-out for DSW Shoes, Ulta Cosmetics, Hollywood Tans, and Old Country Buffet, along with overall mall renovations encompassing improvements to the heating/cooling delivery systems, lavatories, lighting and electrical fixtures.
