KBE Building Corporation (KBE) (www.kbebuilding.com) has donated $2,715 to Howard County General Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as part of the company's 50 Ways to Make a Difference philanthropic initiative.

50 Ways to Make a Difference is an award-winning, annual community outreach initiative that was launched in 2009 to celebrate KBE's 50th year in business. It focuses on providing charitable support for local children and seniors through several distinct programs, including employee initiatives such as "Change Makes a Difference" and "Jeans Friday," as well as financial donations from the company and its owners. The campaign for the current year is focused on making a difference in the lives of children.

KBE's NICU donation will go toward purchase and installation of a new DVD player for the parent's waiting room and an infant CPR training doll.

"We are so grateful for KBE's generous donation," said Paul Skalny, Board Chair of the Howard Hospital Foundation. "Not only will this donation aid in the NICU staff's education, but it will also go toward comforting our patients and their families during a trying time."

Bill Hassan, Business Development Manager for KBE, Paul Skalny, Chair of the Board for the Howard Hospital Foundation, Rene Adams, Nurse Manager of Howard County General Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and Fawn Foreman, a KBE Administrator.
