KBE Building Corporation Goes the Extra Mile
New London, CT, May 11, 2016 (Newswire.com) - New London Homeless Hospitality Center benefited from KBE Building Corporation’s (KBE) dedicated volunteers at the 9th Annual Walk to End Homelessness, held on April 24.
The two-mile walk, which was co-sponsored by Connecticut College, spanned throughout Huntington Street to downtown New London. Along the route, Connecticut College students organized three pit stops featuring special activities to raise awareness about homelessness.
Four KBE staff members and their families attended the event and raised money for the cause. The construction firm also donated money on behalf of its corporate philanthropic program, 50 Ways to Make a Difference.
This year's Walk to End Homelessness raised a record $20,000 and saw a record attendance of 500 people. The total proceeds aided the New London Homeless Hospitality Shelter and all its programs.
