Online, December 18, 2012 (Newswire.com) - KBE Building Corporation (KBE) (www.kbebuilding.com) is providing Preconstruction Phase Services for two senior living facilities: the Jewish Home for the Elderly project in Bridgeport, CT and Fieldhome Senior Living in Cortlandt Manor, NY.
The Jewish Home for the Elderly project will replace an existing 360-bed skilled nursing center with a new 350,000 square-foot skilled nursing and assisted living facility that includes an adult daycare, a fitness center, and a childcare center. Project construction costs are estimated at $75 million, with an anticipated construction start in late 2013. The project is being designed by Perkins Eastman Architects.
The $58 million Fieldhome Senior Living project will include a 12,000 square-foot restoration of the original Georgian style residence and 238,000 square feet of new construction. Once construction is complete, the existing skilled nursing facility will be demolished. The project will provide 102 Independent Living Units and 96 Skilled Nursing beds with supporting common areas, a daycare facility, and garages. Construction is projected to start in early 2014. The project is being designed by AG Architects and SWBR.
