Kelly Rowland Sexual Reference By Rapper LaPret Is Offensive
Former DC Candidate turned Rapper LaPret makes controversial sexual-reference of former Destiny's Child Singer Kelly Rowland and her Grammy Nominated song "Motivation", on his new single "Twitter That"
Online, February 6, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Grammy Award-winning Singer Kelly Rowland had a big smash on the Billboard in 2011; the chart-topping "Motivation" is currently nominated for a Grammy in the category for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, alongside Rapper Lil Wayne.
In January 2012, Kelly Rowland premiered the sexy new music video for her new single "Keep It between Us", featuring actor Lance Gross as her love interest. Gross is widely known as "Calvin Payne" from Tyler Perry's House of Payne, which currently airs on TBS. (Watch the video @ www.KellyRowland.com)
Kelly Rowland and "Motivation" has apparently made its mark, inspiring a new generation of Rappers, for better or worse. Hip-Hop's Newcomer, Washington, D.C. native Rapper LaPret most recently name-checked Kelly Rowland on his new single "Twitter That".
- Not to be confused with "Twitter That" featuring Gucci Mane, a song of the same name by Rapper Slim Dunkin -
On his new record "Twitter That", LaPret makes an offensive sexual-reference of Kelly Rowland and the Grammy-Nominated song.
In the second rap verse LaPret says - "Big Benjees on the Boardwalk Monopoly, don't you wanna get on top of me, and ride this beat banga all night long, kill the feelings in ya legs, smack that thing until is red, Motivate you down and call you Kelly Ro, Go, Go, Go"
"Twitter That" released to Rhythmic radio stations via South Capitol Recordings on February 3, 2012 and will be made available in all major digital music stores on February 21, 2012 according to an official site for LaPret (www.LaPret.net).
Meanwhile, sources close to Kelly Rowland have reported that the Singer is disappointed and offended by the reference made by LaPret, which wrongly implies "prostitute like behavior".
Not stopping there, it is also reported that Twitter, Inc. may soon take action against the Rapper for recently using the "Twitter" logo in promotional material for "Twitter That" without permission. South Capitol Recordings has stopped its use of the Twitter logo.
