Kennedys Mini-Series Is Well Done According To Dr. William Lester PhD.
JFK author believes The Kennedys mini-series to be good portrayal.
Online, April 14, 2011 (Newswire.com) - "I am very impressed with the performances in this series, especially liking Greg Kinnear as JFK and Barry Pepper as Bobby," said Dr. Lester. "The whole production was done well. I think the casting is spot on. Katie Holmes has achieved the look and energy of Jackie to near perfection."
Dr. Lester also added, "The accuracy of a historical mini-series such as this is relative. We need to appreciate that a story of an entire era is shown to us over the course of a few hours. This is a difficult thing to accomplish well while being as detailed as time permits."
Dr. William Lester spent over ten years researching and writing his book, A Celebration of Freedom: JFK and the New Frontier. He also waited for documents to declassify in order to complete his new book on JFK. "I had been thinking about this for some time and I had the feeling that I should write it and so it became a mission for me," Dr. Lester said. "The level and scope of what he had to deal with was impressive."
This book chronicles the life of John F. Kennedy and his White House "Camelot" years with wife Jackie and their two young children, Caroline and John Jr. One can only speculate what the world would be like today had he lived to finish his term and would likely have been granted a second term in office.
A Celebration of Freedom: JFK and the New Frontier includes some rarely seen photographs and information regarding a documented personal UFO sighting that occurred for the former US President at Cape Cod before he took office. Regarding the UFO reality JFK was quoted as saying, "I would like to tell the American people the truth about all of this but my hands are tied."
