Innovative Martial Arts Academy, Wake Forest, NC is holding a 'Kickin' For The Cure' Kick-A-Thon benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the fight against breast cancer. Statistically one of every women get breast cancer and we have had several family members in our martial arts academy doing battle with this particular disease and being a martial arts school, we want to fight back.

The students will be out collecting sponsors who can choose to make a one-time donation or sponsor them per kick. The students will be limited to 200 kicks, so if as a sponsor, you want to give .20 cents per kick, and the student completes the maximum number of kicks allowed, you will donate $20 dollars to the foundation.

Charles Falk, the chief instructor of Innovative Martial Arts Academy said, "We are a community martial arts school, and we like to give back to the community to always have an impact in a positive way. The students here are phenomenal and enjoy being able to help." "We will give a whole new meaning to the words, Fight like a girl."

After the Kick-A-Thon, the school plans on running in Raleigh Race For The Cure as a team in pink belts. The team will be Team IMAA. The Raleigh 5K will be on June 9th.

All proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and if you're interested in sponsoring, please give us a call at Innovative Martial Arts Academy, 919-562-4663. Or, you can visit us on the web to see how you can become a part of this event.
