Online, July 23, 2010 (Newswire.com) - U-Sports Gymnastics Center and Josephine County Animal Protection & Regulation are teaming up in a community event to be held at the Soggy Dog Self-Serve Dog Wash and parking lot area, 128 Southeast K Street in Grants Pass on Sunday, August 1, 2010 from noon until 4:00 PM.
"Kids Helping Animals Helping Kids" is a concerted effort to raise money for the animals of the Josephine County Shelter and to assist local gymnasts in their upcoming competition season. With all of the community support the Shelter has received since its budget cuts a few years ago, "Kids Helping Animals Helping Kids" provides the Animal Shelter with an opportunity to "give back", by supporting the kids in the community through their fundraising efforts.
U Sports' gymnasts will be providing free car washes for attendees as well as free dog washes for the furry, four-footed members of the community. The Josephine County Animal Shelter will be on site to assist gymnasts in their efforts and will also be hosting an adopt-a-thon.
Enjoy a multiple line of events including vendor displays, live performances by U-Sports' gymnasts, face painting by Anna's Party Works, Air Bounce House for kids, or take a turn down the Air Track trampoline provided by U-Sports. In addition, The Canine Ambassadors will be providing a free training course for kids on animal behavior and how to treat animals with respect. You can also participate in the raffle drawing to win great prizes provided by local businesses that support our community kids and the Animal Shelter.
Donations from this event will benefit the Josephine County Animal Shelter and U-Sport gymnasts.
