Kids Paint a Bright Future With AESSEAL India
Online, April 28, 2014 (Newswire.com) - AESSEAL India Private Ltd launches 'Paint it bright', a new initiative to touch the lives of around 50 school children. By painting the walls of the Zilla Parishad Prathmik Vidyalaya, a government school in Varve village, AESSEAL India aims to inspire people to create an improved atmosphere for children.
Paintbrushes in hand, a small army of 15 volunteers drove to Varve, a small village in the heart of the Sahyadris, to renovate the community's primary school by conducting a fast and powerful attack on the yellow and orange paint that covered the walls of the school. These dedicated volunteers decided to take the plan one step further by cleaning the playground of the school as well.
"In the span of three hours, we partially painted the exterior of the school. The idea to paint the entire exterior of the school and clean the playground of the school developed gradually," says Mr. Moses Mhankale, Manager, Human Resource, AESSEAL India Pvt Ltd, who helped organise the project.
The group was careful not to waste rollers and brushes, placing them in plastic bags in between, uses to keep them from drying out.
"We really wanted to do something that focused on giving back to the community. It is great to see what a simple coat can do. We hope the kids will be excited about it," exclaimed Mr. Ramesh B. Krishnappan, Senior Executive Director, AESSEAL India Pvt Ltd.
The volunteers said it was great to get out of the office and support a good cause.
AESSEAL India employees have been supporting the school for around a year by providing sports equipment and devoting time and efforts by teaching soft skills to these children coming from economically backward society. Their parents are either working as farmers or labourers in the nearby companies. Following the various improvements and facilities provided to the children and teachers in the school, Pune Zilla Parishad has recently upgraded the school's rating to grade 'A'.
"The school has unveiled a brand new look, thanks to the generous efforts of ASSEAL India. The painting will have the most visual impact. Children won't see the other improvement as easily. If I could encourage other companies to carry this kind of initiative, I would highly encourage it," said Mr. Shinde, teacher, Zilla Parishad Prathmik Vidyalaya.
