Kindle Fire Owners Beat Nook Owners 3-to-1 in Docking Station Petition at ReaderDock.com.

In the Kindle Fire vs. Nook battle at ReaderDock.com, Kindle Fire owners are demanding more by a margin of 3-to-1 for a fully functional docking station.

The "I Want My Kindle Fire Dock!" and "I Want My Nook Dock!" petitions at ReaderDock.com have stirred up controversy between Kindle® Fire and Nook® owners.

Kindle Fire owners are demanding more options on how to use their device at a rate of 3-to-1 over Nook owners. So what does this say about people who prefer Amazon's Kindle Fire to the Barnes & Noble Nook? Who knows? But one thing's for sure, Kindle Fire owners are fed up with the lack of suitable docking and charging stations -- and are actively petitioning for a station that can position their reader at any viewing angle, play sound through speakers and charge the battery while docked.

ReaderDock (http://www.readerdock.com) is leading the charge to unite both Nook and Kindle Fire owners to sign and share online petitions that demand more options for their tablets.

"We were astonished at the lack of options for these popular e-readers and thought that consumers should have a voice. After all, not everyone has or wants an iPad, and this need is being overlooked." says Andrew Keily of ReaderDock.com.

While both devices are touted as more affordable versions of the iPad and customers are buying them in droves, it's surprising that the accessory and docking station options are scarce or nonexistent. After all, these devices are much more than e-readers and customer should be able to use them to their full capacity without having to hold them in their hands.

Built on the Android platform, the Nook Color, Nook Tablet and Kindle Fire offer robust user experience and can be used for much more than reading. The availability of apps, music and video is rapidly growing -- and owners want more from their investment.

To sign the Kindle Fire or Nook Color/Tablet petition go to the ReaderDock website at http://www.readerdock.com and click on your e-reader.

For every signature ReaderDock receives now through December 31, 2011, the site will donate five cents to Firstbook.org, a organization dedicated to giving the gift of reading to children in need.

While you're there, join the ReaderDock.com email list to be notified when suitable Kindle Fire or Nook docking stations becomes available.
