Kisters Welcomes McGurk Hydrologic As An Affiliate Member
Online, June 20, 2012 (Newswire.com) - KISTERS North America, Inc., a leading provider of advanced hydrological data management tools, announces the addition of McGurk Hydrologic as a key affiliate of KISTERS North America. McGurk Hydrologic provides runoff forecasting, hydrologic simulation modeling, environmental review, and water and land management services to a wide range of clients across the US. They also provide hydrologic products that integrate with KISTERS' database, reservoir operations, and power management software systems.
Dr. Bruce McGurk, president of McGurk Hydrologic, has an impressive 30 years of Sierran hydrology experience and has been a snow researcher for the US Forest Service and a runoff forecaster and reservoir manager for Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Most recently, he was the Operations Manager at San Francisco's Hetch Hetchy Water and Power, in charge of a water supply forecasting group that optimized reservoir operations and powerhouse schedules for the facilities on the Tuolumne River. Dr. McGurk graduated with a B.S. in Wildlife Biology from Cornell University; an M.S. in Resource Planning from Colorado State; and a Ph.D. in Hydrology and Watershed Management from Utah State University. He is a Certified Professional Hydrologist.
