KLMEX to Take In-house IT Services & Operations and Assume Responsibility for Implementation of Its Current Technology Project
Online, July 21, 2013 (Newswire.com) - The Kuala Lumpur Mercantile Exchange (KLMEX) has been considering the best way to take a stronger leadership role in the implementation of its efforts to build "next generation" systems.
Against this background, the KLMEX has agreed the following:
KLMEX (www.klmex.org) will strengthen its internal IT capability by bringing in-house all its IT Operations and Services as soon as possible. This means that the team involved in the delivery of the IT Operations and Services will be transferred to the KLMEX IT Development and Innovation Department.
In anticipation of this change, KLMEX will assume management control of all the IT Operations and Services and of the team.
In addition, KLMEX will restructure the roles and responsibilities under this project and will assume direct responsibility for the implementation of the technology transformation of its trading hardware equipment. KLMEX anticipates using much of the IT OPS department knowledge and capability to complete the project.
KLMEX is looking forward to finalize this change and to successfully complete the work while remaining committed to ensuring that the transition is as seamless as possible for all KLMEX customers. KLMEX does not expect any material impact on its financial position or any impact to its customers or services as a result of the above changes.
A detailed letter containing full disclosure on this matter has been mailed directly to a KLMEX database consisting of directors of listed companies including chairpersons, CEOs, managing directors and compliance officers; stockbrokers, institutional investors, fund managers and corporate finance managers. Enterprises and institutions come, on a daily basis, face to face with risks inherent in an increasingly volatile world. To manage these risks and enable global growth, they need access, efficiency, transparency and security. Kuala Lumpur Mercantile Exchange (KLMEX) answers these needs through products, services and technology that facilitate risk management and remove barriers to help the world's business leaders confidently move forward.
