Knauf Insulation's Shortlist Success

Online, November 5, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Knauf Insulation's innovative, high performance Supafil® CarbonPlus blowing wool insulation has resulted in double award nominations for the manufacturer, with shortlist places in both the 2014 CIBSE Building Performance Awards and the Retro Expo Awards.

There are approximately 535,000 properties in the UK containing narrow cavities, making up more than a quarter of the country's two million hard to treat homes.

Knauf Insulation has designed and developed an insulation solution, Supafil CarbonPlus, which specifically tackles the problem of narrow cavities below 50mm and can help towards the upgrading of housing stock.

The Supafil CarbonPlus system consists of a high performing Supafil blowing wool product and a specially designed installation kit. The product is not restricted by temperature enabling installers to fit all year round and it is compression packed to increase the amount of material that can be loaded onto each vehicle. Additionally, installers and contractors can use existing blowing wool machinery.

The ceremony for the CIBSE Awards will be taking place on Tuesday 11th February 2014 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, and the Retro Expo awards ceremony is on Thursday 5th December at the Business Design Centre, London.
