Knight Investments LLC meet at US Rotary Club to discuss local humanitarian issues
In recent attendance at a meeting in Cocoa, FL members of Knight Investments LLC met with local Rotary Club Members to discuss projects in the humanitarian spectrum of project financing.
Online, November 24, 2009 (Newswire.com) - In a recent meeting KI Officials met to discuss humanitarian issues in conformance with some of the policies of the ICRC or International Committee of the Red Cross.
Officials from Knight Investments LLC have stated that their recent push of humanitarian issues led them to align the humanitarian issues of the ICRC with Knight Investments LLC.
"It is imperative that we all focus on the important aspects of society in today's age. Those important aspects consist of the humanity that exists within all of us and the compassion to help others in need." said Christopher Knight Lopez, now International Project Advisor of KI.
Around since 1924, The Rotary Club of Cocoa is active in community service, especially in the creation of youth programs. Among the Rotary Club of Cocoa's prominent programs have been area blood banks, Cocoa High School's Interact Club, BCC's Rotaract Club, organizing the Crippled Children's Clinic in 1964, and the creation of Rotary Clubs in Cocoa Beach and Merritt Island. Among their current projects is their sponsoring of the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Rockledge and assembling of "book bags" donations for area elementary schools.
KI Officials have been determined to touch base with any local organizations looking to make a difference in these hard times. Spokesmen from Knight Investments LLC hope by doing this, private sector contributions can have a positive impact.
"It is up to the individual inevitably to do the right thing. It may be a difficult concept to actually achieve, but not so to grasp. We, as a company, are just trying to take a concept of help, and turn it into action. We hope to find projects that will help align this vision in conformance with the ICRC's mission." said Nichole Christine, head of Director Relations with Knight Investments.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance.
The ICRC also endeavours to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles.
Established in 1863, the ICRC is at the origin of the Geneva Conventions and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. It directs and coordinates the international activities conducted by the Movement in armed conflicts and other situations of violence.
Knight Investments LLC now seeks to see projects through development stages that will help contribute towards the ICRC's goals, and inevitably to a better world.
