Koko Creations Help Millions Of Maths And Science Students
Online, June 23, 2011 (Newswire.com) - KOKO CREATIONS HELP MILLIONS OF MATHS AND SCIENCE STUDENTS
Three games developed by Koko Digital to raise awareness of GCSE Maths and Science qualifications have been played almost 10million times in six months.
The Staffordshire-based viral game specialist was commissioned by awarding body OCR to create World of Science, Extreme Maths and Eruption Disruption to raise awareness of qualifications and direct traffic to the OCR website.
Between them, the three games have now been played 9.5million times.
Alongside this, Koko produced three microsites (http://www.ocrnationals.com; http://www.ocr.org.uk/worklifeskills/ and http://www.assetlanguages.org.uk) to promote vocational qualifications, language teaching and work and life skills.
The OCR Nationals site has won several awards, including an IMA (Interactive Media Award) for Best Microsite, and a Communicator Award for Best Microsite. And Work Life Skills, their latest project, could be equally successful.
Koko Digital Director Chris Steele said: "We are delighted with the response to the projects for OCR, especially Eruption Disruption, which has now been played more than seven million times since the launch in October.
"We've been able to convey important information in an attractive, engaging way which wasn't always possible with traditional marketing methods.
"The microsites also offered us the chance to show off our web skills as many clients don't even realise that we can design and build websites as well as the branded viral games.
"The feedback we've had from OCR suggests they have had a positive impact on attainment in GCSE Science and Maths across the country."
All three games are available at the OCR website, via the following links: www.ocr.org.uk/worldofscience, www.ocr.org.uk/extrememaths, and www.ocr.org.uk/eruptiondisruption.
Koko Digital was formed in 2006, and specialises in viral advergames and social media applications. Previous clients include Microsoft, Currys and the BBC.
