In 2017, Kono added several locations across the Southeast and launched their first-ever university program with Penn State University.

The franchise has several locations queued for opening in Q1 2018, including areas near Boston, Tempe, San Diego, Orlando, Dallas, Houston and San Francisco. The expansion is attributed to a renewed focus on the various location styles offered to franchisees. They can choose between mobile carts, kiosks, food trucks and fixed locations. This has really helped attract new franchisees and allow them to choose what works best for them. At the beginning of every new year, we see an influx of franchise applications. With our expanded location offering, we can offer several options for those actively looking to be their own boss.
