Kovair Develops Integration Solutions For IBM Rational DOORS, RequisitePro And RRC

Kovair Software Inc. announces integration model for IBM Rational DOORS, RequisitePro and Rational Requirements Composer

The recently concluded IBM Innovate meeting and the IBM DOORS users meeting in London, UK, saw participation and an insightful presentations given by Kovair at the DOORS Users Meeting for the integration of ALM tools in general and DOORS and IBM Jazz tools in particular with the help of Kovair Omnnibus Integration Platform.

During their presentations, the participating executives of Kovair cast light on how their company was able to provide the full integration of new IBM ALM tools to their Omnibus platform. It is to be mentioned here that earlier this year, Kovair announced its plan to provide support for various Requirement Management tools of IBM and now the integrations cover all the three generations of IBM Requirements Management Tools - the Requisite Pro, DOORS and the most recent Jazz Platform based Rational Requirements Composer. For the IBM Jazz Platform, through its OSLC "Provider" Adapter, Kovair provides support for all the three major tools in the family - the RRC (Rational Requirements Composer), the RQM (Rational Quality Manager) and the RTC (Rational Team Concert). Since these Jazz Platform tools by IBM are following the OSLC (Open Service Life Cycle) ALM tools providers like Microsoft and HP who do not follow the standards currently, can now be connected to these offerings by IBM through the Kovair OSLC Provider Adapter.

Kovair's Omnibus is an ALM-integration platform that connects at least 30 different tools used for ALM and IT Service Management from vendors like Atalassian, Microsoft, HP, IBM Rational and Open Source groups. Industry experts predict, partnerships will ultimately make multi-vendor best-of-breed tools and open source management tools more accessible to the ALM community of users. These advances will surely prove to be more fruitful for developers, enterprises, as well as various stakeholders of the ALM industry. The flexibility, with which anyone can integrate APIs from various platforms or tools or applications to the Omnibus, is one of the reasons behind this anticipated outcome.
