Krav Maga Orange County Trains Church Members At Orange County Megachurch Mariners
Krav Maga of Orange County provides basic self-defense and 3rd party defense training to staff at Mariners Church in Irvine, California
Online, February 29, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Krav Maga of Orange County (KMOC) recently provided self-defense as part of KMOC's involvement in serving the community of Orange County. Class participants were all Mariners members and represented all ages. The day of training was so successful Krav Maga Orange County will return to Mariners next month for another training day.
Mariners Church began as a small Home Bible Study group in Newport Beach starting in 1963. 50 years later it welcomes an average of 9,000 attendees each week on its 46 acre campus in Irvine, California, making it the 58th largest attendance in a U.S. church according to SermonCentral.com's "The Outreach 100: Largest & Fastest Growing Churches in America".
Brenton Woolworth of Mariners invited Krav Maga of Orange County to provide self-defense and third party protection training to its security staff. The training was so successful that it will be an occurring training for security staff to elevate and enhance the staff's skills in this area. The Mariners security staff participated in the introductory Level 1 training exercises, warming up and learning the right way to stand while delivering various punches and kicks.
Krav Maga of Orange County is celebrating 20 years of serving the Orange County area, providing the highest quality self-defense training. As part of KMOC's dedication to the community, it has also donated proceeds from its Home Invasion Self Defense Seminar to the Stop Cancer Foundation, donated proceeds from Youth Synagogue events to the Make a Wish Foundation, proceeds from FAST seminars to the Japan Tsunami Relief Fund, and offered free classes to female students of Fullerton College and the women of Orange County in response to two assaults on campus.
