Kylie.ai Deploys Artificial Intelligence for Study at World Renowned Hospital

UCSF Division of Cardiology is taking the next step in research by deploying artificial intelligence to answer questions and better understand the patient experience in ongoing heart studies.

Kylie.ai, an artificial intelligence company that automates customer care conversations, announced today a partnership with UCSF Division of Cardiology. When a study participant has a question, he/she will have the opportunity to ask an artificial intelligence, powered by the Kylie.ai Bubble, that has been trained on historical conversations and optimized by experts. A participant simply asks a question, and Kylie.ai’s AI surfaces an appropriate response based on all available information about the study. If the AI doesn’t surface a satisfactory response, it passes the conversation to a human and learns from the ongoing interaction. This allows the AI to learn over time from new questions that arise.

The adoption of artificial intelligence comes after UC San Francisco received $9.75 million to create a platform for mobile health that provides researchers with easy access to a large cohort of volunteers who have agreed to participate in the research, along with a quick, affordable means for collecting their health data through mobile and wireless technologies.
