CEO and Founder of Lisa Elia Public Relations, Lisa Elia, and her team have a special Media Jumpstart Program that begins July 1 through which they prepare clients for one-on-one meetings with the media panelists at Meet the Media Day. Preparation includes message clarification, media training, press kit development and insider tips on creating strong media relationships.

All attendees at Meet the Media Day will benefit from knowledge Elia shares, based on her more than 20-year career in the PR industry. She will provide tips on creating an online press room, unique pitches, using social media and changing technology to reach the media, video strategies and more. Elia will even incorporate on-the-spot media training on stage, for brave volunteers. Each attendee will receive a booklet containing specific PR tips, questionnaires and information prepared by Elia and her team.

Elia, an LA PR pro who has secured placements for clients with The Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN, E! Entertainment, Time, and hundreds of other outlets, provides a few tips to get entrepreneurs and businesses moving in the right direction:
"1. Do your homework. If you want to be known as an expert, have something new to add to the world conversation and be up on what's going on in your field.
2. Use your blog to attract media attention, by writing about current, newsworthy items and including terms for which journalists and producers may be searching.
3. Use social media to follow your favorite journalists, producers and media outlets, but don't pitch them this way: most still prefer e-mailed pitches."
Meet the Media Day begins with networking and a continental breakfast, followed by PR planning and strategies from Elia and media panel Q&A. Lunch is provided for all guests. In the afternoon Elia's Media Jumpstart Program clients will have one-on-one meetings with members of the media panel in a private room while Elia will conduct a Q&A and live PR coaching session with the other event attendees. The day ends with additional networking.

Tickets are $195, including all discussions, panels, breakfast and lunch. Spots in the Media Jumpstart Program are available and cost $2,997: registration ends June 30. Sponsorships are available.
