Lake Norman Dermatologist Recognized by the American Board of Dermatology
Online, April 21, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Dr. Kerry Shafran, of Riva Aesthetic Dermatology in Cornelius, North Carolina, was recently recognized by the American Board of Dermatology, based out of Detroit, Michigan, to be approved in using the official certification mark to signify that he has met their high standards in the field of dermatology and can be represented as a diplomate.
"The American Board of Dermatology (ABD) is pleased to provide Kerry with the attached personalized certification mark that identifies you as being certified by the ABD." stated in an email by Thomas D. Horn, MD, Executive Director at the American Board of Dermatology. "The use of this mark informs the public that Kerry has met the certification requirements established by the ABD, including residency training in an accredited program, and successful completion of the certifying examination."
Dr. Kerry Shafran also stressed the importance of such certifications. "Identifying ourselves as the experts in skin care helps separate us from the many others who are practicing without this qualification. In my own area, we have dozens of other MD specialists, NPs, PAs, dentists, aestheticians, nurses, hair dressers, and others passing themselves off as skin care authorities."
