LaMar's Donuts Celebrates National Coffee Day With Free Coffee
Offering a free 12 ounce coffee with coupon, no purchase required.
Online, September 28, 2010 (Newswire.com) - LINCOLN, NEBRASKA - On September 29th, LaMar's Donuts will celebrate an informal holiday by offering a coupon on its social media outlets, Facebook and Twitter, for a free 12 ounce coffee.
The complimentary drinks are in celebration of National Coffee Day, which is a holiday of unknown origins, but is honored by coffee enthusiasts around the nation. "We wanted to do something special for our loyal customers through our social media outlets and nothing goes better with donuts than coffee," said Krystal Olson, LaMar's marketing coordinator.
The first record of coffee dates back to the 9th century, when it was discovered in Ethiopia by a goat herder named Kaldi. Legend has it that he noticed the stimulating effects of the coffee bean plant on his goats and began to experiment with its uses. It was not until the 16th century that coffee spread to Europe. Today, Americans consume 400 million cups of coffee per day making the United States the leading consumer of coffee in the world.
In addition to serving a variety of coffee drinks, LaMar's Donuts is even more famous for their donuts. Every LaMar's product is hand produced from start to finish, beginning with hand-kneading of the dough to the glazing of each donut. They take great care in making each and every donut a masterpiece.
