Larson Electronics Releases 3PH Temporary Power Distribution Station, 15 kVA, 480V-380V

KEMP, Texas, June 2, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of a temporary power distribution station that converts three-phase 480V AC electrical current into three-phase 380V AC. This station provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480V power from sources such as generators and direct grid power.

The MGL-480V-15KVA-380V-1X25A temporary power distribution station allows operators to power 380V equipment from a single system. The primary side connects 480V line-in power using 20 feet of #12 SOOW cord into the NEMA 3R 30-amp, 480V three-phase primary disconnect, which has three 25-amp time delay fuses and passes power to the transformer. The transformer converts 480V to 380V three-phase and passes it to the secondary panel, which feeds a NEMA 3R 25-amp, 480V three-phase breaker. The secondary panel has a 25-amp fuse allowing operators to make connections to the breaker.

Larson Electronics’ temporary power distribution station has a load center/distribution assembly that is mounted to a powder coated steel dolly cart style frame featuring two run-flat tires for easy mobility. The transformer is grounded to the frame via a grounding lug that is provided. This unit is suitable for use at construction sites, for plant maintenance and turnarounds, and more.
