Larson Electronics Releases Explosion-Proof 30-Amp Fusible Disconnect Switch, CID2, 3-Pole

KEMP, Texas, July 12, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion-proof 30-amp fusible disconnect switch/breaker for use in Class I, Division 1 hazardous locations. This unit provides overcurrent and short circuit protection for heating, lighting and other applications. This explosion-proof disconnect switch features an EHD frame with a 3-pole configuration.

The EPFDS-30A-3P explosion-proof fusible disconnect switch is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C and D; Class I, Zones 1 and 2, Groups IIB and IIA; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III hazardous locations. This unit is made of cast aluminum and has a rectangular bolted cover design with cover bolts made of stainless steel. The external On/Off lever is able to be locked in the Off position, with room for up to three padlocks for added security.

Larson Electronics’ explosion-proof fusible disconnect switch features an internal circuit breaker handle mechanism that is a sliding plate type mounted to the cover. The circuit breaker is trip-free of the external handle mechanism and operates on a maximum of 600V AC or 125V DC. This unit features two cast 2-inch conduit hubs and two cast 0.5-inch conduit hubs and is fusible at 30 amps with operator provided fuses. Suitable applications include chemical and petrochemical plants, storage areas and more.
