Larson Electronics Releases Explosion Proof Fused Disconnect, CI/II/III, 600V, 400A, 2-Pole, 3 NPT Hubs

KEMP, Texas, March 8, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion proof fused disconnect for use in Class I, II and III hazardous locations. This 2-pole unit comes with three, 400-amp 600V fast-acting fuses and three NPT hubs. This unit offers protection against surges and electrical spikes making it suitable for use in flammable work locations.

The EPFDS-400A-3P-2X400A.600V-FA explosion proof fused disconnect offers active protection of electrical systems in flammable or combustible facilities. This fused unit is rated at 600V AC and has three, 400-amp 2-pole 600V fast-acting fuses that are sensitive to electrical pulses. This unit is made of cast aluminum with stainless-steel cover bolts and has an external On/Off lever that can be locked into position with room for up to three padlocks for added security.

Larson Electronics’ explosion proof fused disconnect features a gasketed flange with O-ring to protect against moisture. Three NPT hubs are provided on the enclosure to complete electrical connections with two 3” hubs at the top and one 0.5” at the bottom. This unit can be mounted to flat surfaces and is suitable for use with sensitive equipment, electronics, LED light systems, computers, and in hazardous work settings.
