Larson Electronics Releases Explosion-Proof LED Exit Sign, CID1&2, IP65, 120V-277V AC, 8-Inch Letters

This exit sign is equipped with a 1.1-watt LED lamp and offers a three-hour runtime. This unit features a self-diagnostic system and 8-inch letters for marking emergency exits. This sign is multi-voltage capable and offers three mounting options.

The EXP-EMG-EXT-LE6-1L-8IN explosion-proof LED exit sign meets New York City fire code standards and is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B, C, and D; Class I, Zones 1 and 2; Groups IIB+H2; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, and G; and Class II, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations. This exit sign uses external power to illuminate the 1.1-watt LED and switches to a battery backup during a power outage, offering up to three hours of operation or until power is restored. The backup battery is a 3.6V NiCad rechargeable battery that can operate in temperature ranges of 0˚C to 40˚C.

Larson Electronics’ explosion-proof LED exit sign features brown-out, short circuit and voltage surge protection with low voltage disconnect that prevents damage to the batter caused by a deep discharge. This unit is not a factory sealed fixture, and operators will need their own wiring for the junction box to complete connections. This unit operates on 120-277V AC and can be mounted to flat surfaces. Suitable applications include commercial settings and hazardous industrial locations to mark emergency exits.
