Larson Electronics Releases Explosion Proof Network IP Camera, 30 FPS, 2.0MP Resolution, 108 Degree FOV

KEMP, Texas, October 14, 2019 (Newswire.com) - ​Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion proof network IP camera for use as a remote inspection and observation camera in hazardous locations. This camera is explosion proof, dust and ignition proof, weather proof and tamper resistant that provides operators with a live feed from inside tanks, reactors and other places. This unit has a built-in 1/2.5” progressive-scan SMOS image sensor that delivers up to 2.0MP resolution at 30 fps.

The EXPCMR-IP-POE-2MP-IR-108D-APV explosion proof network IP camera is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B, C and D; Class I, Zones 1 and 2, Groups IIB+H2 and IIA; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G; and Class III, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations. This unit features a wide angle fixed lens with a 108˚ field of view to cover large areas. This camera comes with built-in infrared lights and utilizes 120dB true wide dynamic range.

Larson Electronics’ explosion proof camera utilizes 3D digital noise reduction and a true night/day IR-cut filter removal to produce clear images. This camera automatically switches from full color to infrared mode when light falls below a certain level. A customer-provided RJ45 ethernet cable allows link-up with the camera that is run back to a customer-provided DVR system. A network video recorder (NVR) is needed to record the camera stream, but not necessary for live view capability.

This camera comes equipped with a pressurized air nozzle at the front of the camera lens for use in grain processing facilities and wet areas. This component offers a 1/2” female stainless-steel quick disconnect connector for hose attachments. The camera features an ATEX/IECEx certified copper-free aluminum alloy body and includes an adjustable rear-mounted stainless-steel mounting bracket/handle. Suitable applications include vessel, tank and reactor monitoring, remote observation of external facilities, and more.
