Online, November 15, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Amazon has just released its latest Kindle Fire everyone is talking about. According to its CEO, this will be by far the most advanced of all their previous Kindles due to their additonal features in media entertainment and digital information apart from just being an ebook reader.
At just $199, this 7-inch tablet possesses the capability to compete against the costlier iPad with similar multi-functions operating on Android OS - a system by Google to cater to all Amazon Kindle needs.
However the other versions like Kindle Fire HD 8.9 with and without LTE Wireless will only be released in November 2012. Nevertheless, Kindle Fire is the most advanced of all previous Kindles put together with its all-in-one ebook reader and PC tablet. Best of all, it is light-weight and can be held with one hand.
Measuring at just 7.5 x 4.7 x 0.45 inches, it is easy and comfortable for anyone to carry either by hand or bag. Other than that, protective cases are also provided to protect it from damage.
For screen resolution, Kindler is measured at 1024 X 600 while iPad is at 1024 X 768.
Basically, Kindle Fire gives you more access to not just ebooks you like to read but also apps, games, magazines, movies, newspapers, TV shows and videos. All directly from its vibrant color touch screen.
You can surf online with} the new Amazon Silk - a browser specially designed for faster page loads and transit times when connected to the internet.
When it comes to selecting Kindle Fire or the iPad, it all boils down to features, portability, price and size. They both provide different options such as apps, streaming, reading, etc.
The only difference is in their sizes and prices where Kindle Fire is smaller and cheaper than iPad.
But in terms of storage space and memory, Kindle Fire has only 8GB while iPad offers 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB for customers to choose. And in terms of operation, Kindle Fire solely relies on Wifi and does not have GPS while iPad has both as well as 3G.
However in time to come, Amazon may include those although there is no confirmation on that as yet. If they do, Kindle Fire will be a much stronger rival to iPad.
As for apps, Kindle Fire offers access to about 17,000 free and paid options while iPad has 90,000 which mostly are paid options. So iPad users have to paid more for the apps besides the device itself.
Overall, Kindle Fire is much more affordable to those who want iPad but unable to afford and looking for its substitute. Same for iPad users who do not wish to spend anymore on apps in Apple Appstore
