Astra Nova Ltd. has developed a Good Distribution Practice online course which covers the latest regulations and best practices in the handling, transportation, storage, distribution and tracking of medicinal products and devices.
Online, April 17, 2014 (Newswire.com) - In light of the regulatory changes across the European Union from November 2013 regarding storage and distribution of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, Astra Nova Training Ltd. has developed a new Good Distribution Practice (GDP) online course. The course covers the latest, as well as long standing regulations and best practices in the handling, transportation, storage, distribution and tracking of medicinal products and devices. The training looks into the practices of wholesale distributors and the proper ways and processes concerning the distribution of medicinal products, as well as the roles and responsibilities of all personnel stated in the GDP regulations.
The training material is divided into 8 modules that discuss the GDP guidelines and regulations. At the end of every module, there is a summary focused on the key topics explained in the specific module. Aiming at enhancing the learning process, the course also includes various exercises, case studies, useful documents, links and a glossary. Course participants will receive individual Good Distribution Practice certificates, upon completion of the 20-question exam with a passing rate of 80%. Astra Nova also offers the fundamentals of GDP in a free online training, aimed at introducing professionals to the principles of good distribution and warehousing practices.
