Launch Of "I Am Empowered" 2.0 - Empower Yourself And Your Community With The Mobile Application

Online, August 5, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Members, volunteers and affiliates of civil rights organization National Urban League now can engage with each other with the new smart phone application "I am Empowered". Part of the NUL's "I Am Empowered" campaign celebrating 100 years of engagement for economic and social equality for African Americans, the social networking application "I Am Empowered" offers its registered users state of the art mobile communications. The NUL mobile 'app' is the first location, time and interest based social networking application for a non-profit organization, developed by mobile social solutions provider match2blue an international company with offices in New York and Germany.

'I am Empowered' can be downloaded for the iPhone® and iPad at the Apple App Store, and available soon for BlackBerry® mobile devices.

Users can register for I Am Empowered on the NUL initiative's website www.iamempowered.com or on the mobile platform after downloading the application. Once saved, set up details are synchronized so users can access their profile on both the website and their mobile phone. The I Am Empowered community members can engage each other by:

• Exchanging communication via internal messaging.
• Utilizing member-helps-member function, activists can share their knowledge and resources or promote NUL goals and objects through polls, events and member activism.
